MEDEVA runs an annual intensive TV and Radio Training Programme that is open and free to young people in East Africa. So far, MEDEVA has trained over two hundred young people in Kenya and Uganda in TV and Radio Production. Whilst training with us, many of these young people have achieved professional levels of Directing and Camerawork, some winning a variety of reputable awards including CNN Africa Journalist of the Year and BBC World Service News Journalist of the Year among other prestigious awards. Most have gone on to pursue successful careers as producers, reporters and cameramen in the local media industry.
